can i upgrade the processor for my 10.6" screen sony vaio pcg-tr2a notebook?

i was told that i would need to replace the entire motherboard. if so, where can i get one that will allow me to accomodate the new core 2 intel chip?also, when and if i am able to upgrade, will that allow me to increase my memory also?right now i have the maximum that sony says will work on my computer - 1GB.i saw someone "trick" out an asus eee and is selling it on ebay and that really got me interested in doing the same for my laptop. any advice is appreciated. thanks all.
