Default How to set up a wireless LAN between two laptops?

I have no clue on how to do this, so any help would be appreciated. I don't have any routers or anything like that, just the laptops. Also is it possible to set up LAN between three or four laptops at once? Thanks in advance.

you can setup the notebook to be a server/client. But you need one of these devices connected to the internet. So in example, one notebook WIRED directly to the internet, with wireless enabled can allow you to broadcast your connection to other notebooks.as far as lan, yea samething as before, just not internet if no one them have internet access.best thing is to just buy a wireless router, its like 50 bucks now. Get linksys on amazon.com
