I downloaded the patch like I was supposed to, and it wouldn't work. I even tried turning off my mcafee firewall in case that was the problem. I dont know what could be wrong but if anyone has some suggestions I would love to hear em. My friends get 4 LAN battles goin, and I wanna be a partof em.
AOE2 uses IPX to connect via LAN if you have XP or Vista you're all but outta luck. Well you can try to install IPX protocols but it doesn't always work. I don't suggest it either. Kazprlee420P.S. there are a few programs out there that fake a LAN connection for IPX protocol games.one i can think of off the top of my head is a program called "Kali" but its not easy to set up.P.P.S if you want me and my friend like to play aoe2 age of kings online...tcp/ip connection.....we're not good or anything but we like to play.
