Can I use an old internal hard drive in my new computer?

Can I use an internal drive from my old computer in my new one? I am concerned that there will be a conflict with having xp on both of them at once. I have room for the drive, however, it has many of the same programs and songs and other files on it. Is it possible to use it?

yes if it is a idle drive make sure u have the second one put in the slave position so it does not try to boot from that drive

I'd not, long term. I'd temporarily, as long as it takes to move files over, or get a USB case to put it in.The software I'd reinstall from the install CDs or files.
