Default I have a question about my friend's portable hard drive?and I really need your help?

I copied some songs to my friends portable hard drive and I safe removed it,pulled it out but suddenly I remembered I had forgotten to copy a movie for her so I attached it to my pc again.I have the avg anti virus installed on my pc and it detected a trojan virus on k drive which is my friend's hard drive (I realized I could not access it anymore! so I just pasted the movie indirectly (in my computer)I think I just ruined her portable hard drive now every time she wants to access it she should press search and copy and paste whatever she wantsI was wondering if it's possible to remove the virus and make everything ok???please (

You can probably copy all the stuff from the Hard Drive to a temporary location. Then you can just format you portable hard drive using the windows format tool. Hopefully this should get rid of the virus. I would also try it on a different computer to kind of isolate the issue between the computer, software or the HDD. Hope this helps
