Watching movies on Xbox 360 of external hard drive?

I read that the external hard drive had to be FAT32. So I partitioned my 250gb HD into 2 32gb fat32 parts, and the other part is nfts or whatever its called. I connected the HD to my xbox, and I couldnt play any of the videos. The videos are in no folders in their part of the HD, but in the NFTS part i have programs installed and backup information
