Ipod Recovery of PC Hard Drive?

The Hard Drive on my Network Attached Storage crashed. I used the NAS to store the MP3, AAC and JPG files for my home Network. My actual iTunes library file (ITL & XML) file was NOT on the NAS, but was actually on one of the PC's in my network, so that file is still good. What is the best way to transfer all my music and pictures from my iPod back to a new Hard Drive. Given that my ITL file is on my local PC, can I just sync my ipod with iTunes (since the ITL file is actually on the local computer)...or will that wipe my iPod files?
