Default Cloning a hard drive?

I want to put a larger hard drive into my PC when i clone my current drive will it copy the files that i have deleted in the past, i mean if i downloaded some software transferred it to disc and then deleted the original file will there be evidence of the deleted file on the new drive.

I guess it depends what program you are using to clone your hard drive. I think if you use norton ghost then it won't have any evidence of your old files. But even if it did have evidence of the deleted file nobody would be able to access it except for a pretty crazy hacker that knows you personally.
