Default How would this Dell laptop handle my needs (Dell Vostro 1400)?

I'm looking at a Dell laptop right now ($374 CAD before taxes) witht he following specs.Dell Vostro 1400Intel® Celeron M® M550 2GB of Ram160G 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive14.1 inch Wide Screen XGA LCD Display with TrueLife™Windows XP HomeI will be going to university this September and will need a laptop. How will it handle running multiple apps at once? I'm a little concerned about the Celery. However, the most I will push this laptop will be running Office 2007, Firefox, and MSN at once.I'm just concerned about the lag when "multitasking". I like things to run smoothly.P.S. I was also looking at the Dell Vostro 1310 with the T5670 for a extra $200. However, if I'm not gonna see too big of a performance increase for my use, I would rather get the 1400.

Yes. It is also fine for your needs. It can do basic tasks. It is also fine running multiple apps, however, it might lag a little bit.

Well,I don't think it can do too bad, but it won't do its best with performance. If you want to run multiple apps, get a better processor with multiple cores. You can find 'em for cheap now.
