Default My Dell Latitude will not turn on. The power cord works.?

When I attempt to turn on the computer, a little light shaped like a "lock" with the letter "A" inside keeps flashing... HELP!

It may have a security lock on it. What you do is to take the battery out the computer motherboard and leave it out overnite. or in some cases 6 hours. This shall reset the settings on it. What this is for is the security settings on it that will prevent t from getting into the BIOS settings. Dell does that some times. make sure if you get to the bios , you turn that setting off.
