hey so basically i got a laptop a few years back(like 5) and the cord broke like 2 years ago and today i just got a new cord...i turned on my comp and turns out it needs a password and username...I TOTALLY FORGOT THEM!! what can i do?!?! Also its a dell latitude C840.
At the log in screen hold down " ctrl alt delete " Type in administrator. then you can change your password and any thing you want for that matter. theres always a hidden administrator account just for people in an emergency to log in! Hope This helps ,
