My screen size has shrunk on a Dell Latitude D810?

Hey i have recently reinstalled Windows XP onto my Dell D810. And the screen size has shrunk by at least a half. It is situated in the middle of the screen with a black border surrounding it. Is there anything i can do, other than taking it to a shop?

using that very laptop right now yeah, install the drivers, then go into destop properties and set your resolution higher.
