macbook laptop?

i am thinking of buying a macbook laptop, i have done a little research. I know that the programs are not like windows and microsoft office. For the macbook, what is the name of the programs,(windows had the microsoft office, like word and excel) And if i buy the laptop are all the programs already installed? thanks

they have microsoft office for mac, the only difference is that it doesn't crash. You will have to buy it or copy it from an friend. You don't need to install it, just copy the application over the network and it will work.

Mac has Safari( internet), iTunes (music player), Mail (e-mail app), iCal (calendar program), GarageBand (sound editing), Calculator, Address Book, Chess, Big Bang Board Games, Dictionary, iChat (IMing), iDVD (DVD Creator), iMovie (Movie editor), iPhoto (photo app), iWeb (website creator), DVD Player, eeeeverything you would ever want. unfortunately it doesnt have a good word processor built in because most people like to install their Microsoft Office or whatever.

I believe the programs you're asking about are called:Pages (Word equivalent)Numbers (Excel equivalent)They came already installed on my MacBook, but I'm not sure if they come installed on every computer..I did, however, go ahead and purchase Office 08 - Pages and Numbers are better for somethings and Office is better for others..
