Default PC vs. Macbook?

OK So my cat spilled water on my laptop. I'm looking into getting a new laptop. And I want to know what you guys think off Macbooks. I like the style and they seem easy to use. Pros? Cons? Suggestions.OK so say I get a mac, would I be able to hook it up to the wireless internet in my house?? I use a wireless router. I think it has software to go with it... I'm not sure. But do they come with WiFi??Money right now is not really an issue.

Macbooks are great.I have the white one.You don't get pop windows like you do with PCs.No viruses either. they have built in spyware protectors I believeIf you're into music/art/photography, you can get the programs to do all of the above as well.they aren't too hard to learn how to use either.macmall.com

Mac book wins, u can install xp or vista later, plus mac is just better at hardware if you don't know much about hardware.

first of all u get more bang for your buck on a pc,and u get more software. pc's are just plain better, u have way more choices too. for an expensive macbook, u could get a laptop pc doubleas fast. pc's rule

Macbooks, most definitely. You won't get viruses and it's very easy to keep organized. If you're creative, the best programs are for Macs. Not to mention the fact that they look great too.Any basic programs you would need (Word, Photoshop if you want, etc) are also available for Mac. Mostly the only problem I run into are games being on for PC.

I would all say its what did you have before? Macs are different and will take a little to get used too. I personally have both, a Mac and a PC. I agree that the PC would give you the best bang for the buck on speed and quality as Mac strides themselves on the "style" and thats what your paying for. There are a ton of good things about Mac's, but there are virus's on the mac, you just dont hear about them, as the average mac user is a step above the average windows user. It also has to do with getting access to your root drive, which mac makes it a little harder to get access too....The good thing about a mac is you can make it dual boot and if your a student and you have to run a windows program, you can restart your mac This option comes free with Mac OS. If money inst an issue, and you want style, then I would go with a Macbook.

OkPros. -Pc you have access to 90% of the software on the planet -Pc I'm guessing you grew up using, so no stiff -Pc You have most of the software you want already -Pc Compatibility is the spice of life -Pc on average affordable.Cons -Pc spyware -Pc virus playground -Pc Lacking in the Audio and Video editing department -Pc no dedicated hardware or software without mods -Pc poor battery even with good power saving settingsPros -Mac dedicated processor to the OS(operating system) -Mac great at Audio and Video editing -Mac beyond great battery life -Mac they look pretty -Mac no known major virus issues or spyware for that matter.Cons -Mac not much compatible software -Mac Not a pc new learning element -Mac they all look alike -Mac Hella expensive -Mac customer service for them is lacking -Mac no competition for generic hardware so mac becomes your father for repair and replacement -Mac Why?
