acer lcd monitor problem?

i recently brought an acer LCD monitor about 2 days back and notice a white spot on the screen sometimes at different spots. these spots come on occasionally i was wondering if there is a defect with the monitor or what and if at all then i can have it replaced as it has been only 2 days since i have brought that. since i am not a techie guy, it is very hard for me to figure that out. need help. will be really appreciated.thanks

i cant tell you exactly, but i do know my videocard was failing once and it gave me weird stuff onscreen at various times

Well it certainly doesn't sound like its working correctly. Surely white spots on the screen demonstrate some kind of fault.
I would certainly take it back to the shop as soon as possible and tell them you want either a properly WORKING screen (without white spots) or your money back.
