you can setup the notebook to be a server/client. But you need one of these devices connected to the internet.So in example, one notebook WIRED directly to the internet, with wireless enabled can allow you to broadcast your connection to other notebooks.as far as lan, yea samething as before, just not internet if no one them have internet access.best thing is to just buy a wireless router, its like 50 bucks now.
