It doesn't matter. Master and Slave are set by a little plastic jumper on the hard drive and CD independently, or they're set to Cable Select, which means it doesn't matter twice.The only problems that might arise is if both your hard drive and CD are set to master or both are set to slave, since they'll conflict. If one is set to Master or Slave and the other set to Cable Select there can also be a problem, though usually that's okay.Ideally though, you should set each drive on a separate cable since then the drives won't be sharing the same data path.
